Covid-19 Township Offices

COVID-19 Update

Bethel Township residents:

Based on the current recommendations from the State and the County, beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, the Township Administration Building, the Myers Building, and the Township Police Department will be closed to the public. These closures will remain in force until March 30, 2020, unless things change in the interim. During that period, only Township staff members, elected officials, and police officers will be allowed into any Township building. No one else will be granted physical access.

But as mentioned in the previous update, the Township government will remain operational, despite these closures. Therefore, to the extent that a member of the public must engage with the Township on emergency, essential, or other time-sensitive matters, all such interactions will be limited to electronic methods only (email, telephone, video-teleconferencing, etc.) We are also asking everyone else to please postpone all other non-essential matters until at least March 30, in order to temporarily reduce the burden on Township staff.

Finally, any public meetings that might be convened or held by the Township during this time period will be physically closed to the public. But the Township will make arrangements to have any such meetings live-streamed or otherwise broadcast on the internet so that the public can listen and participate virtually. In the event of such an occurrence, the Township will provide everyone with further instructions.
